Empowering Women: Our Journey to Confidence and Hygiene

In the past Twenty years, our mission has taken us to remote villages, where we’ve witnessed the struggles faced by women when it comes to their health and hygiene. We saw how menstruation remained shrouded in myths and taboos, leaving women to suffer in silence. These age-old beliefs took a toll on their emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Sadly, even today, 70% of women are underprivileged, making essential hygiene products like sanitary napkins a luxury they can’t afford. In rural areas, almost 30% of women use a proper sanitary napkin rest still use husk, newspapers, and old clothes during their periods. This unhygienic practice exposes them to various health risks, including infections and long-term complications.

Motivated by the plight of these women, we embarked on a mission to bring awareness to menstrual hygiene and provide a solution that is both high-quality and affordable. Thus, we proudly introduced “STAY LIGHT” Sanitary Napkin.

Our belief is simple: every woman deserves access to reliable menstrual hygiene products. Our aim is not only to meet their physical needs but also to uplift their self-confidence and enhance their overall quality of life. By breaking the chains of cultural stigma, we empower women to embrace their womanhood with pride and dignity.

MISSION AND VISION

“HOLDING A PAD IS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF NO MORE WISHPERING, LET’S TALK.”

  • Myth-Busting: First we conduct a campaign on myth-busting practice which are passed down from generation to generation:- a) Menstruation awareness, b)hygiene practice.
  • Awareness Wokshop: We conduct ‘Menstrual Hygiene Management Awareness Workshop’ in collaboration with different NGOs those are working in different remote village areas.
  • Promoting Menstrual Hygiene: 70% of population live in rural India, but not all women have access to sanitary napkins. Whisper, Stayfree etc. are not accessible to the women leaving in rural India and those are also not affordable. Only 20% women are using sanitary napkins while rural women using unhygienic materials like husk, newspaper, cloth etc. On the broader spectrum, the pressing need is to create accessibility and awareness among the mass.
  • Select Communication Channel: 20% school going girls drop out once they start menstruation. This is just one part of the problem. State and Central Govt. have already taken initiative to provide free pads in rural areas, but that alone effort is not enough. Problems are larger than the solutions those are aimed for. So, we arrange campaign in various schools in rural areas and aware them regarding proper usage and disposal of sanitary napkin. In our campaign, we follow a holistic approach with an aim of creating a better future and improve the quality of life.
  • Distribution of Pad: We will conduct a health & hygiene campaign which will support 10000 school going girls from lower income backgrounds with accessibility to free sanitary napkins for 1(one) whole year. of our future women generation.
  • Social Media Campaign: Through social media like Radio, Television, Newspaper, Face Book, Youtube and twitter etc.
